WTM1986: F-4C 63-7468 in Hill Gray (F-16 scheme) with low viz markings on the taxiway part of the 123FIS/Oregon ANG and operating from Portland IAP. 

WTM1980: F-4D 64-0970/21 from the 178FIS/North Dakota ANG in take-off. The homebase of the 178th is Hector Field. The 178FIS was also present in 1978, 1982 and 1986.

WTM1978: F-4E 67-0395/EG from the 33TFW stationed at nearby Eglin AFB, Florida.

WTM1978: Parked on the enormous flight-line of Tyndall AFB is F-101B 58-0338 from the 123FIS/Oregon ANG and based at Portland IAP.

Open house 24 September 1978: RB-57C 53-3831 from the 134DSES/Vermont ANG based at Burlington IAP. The only RB-57C in black colours.

Visitor October 1978: A-7D 72-0177/EL from the 74TFS/23TFW based at England AFB, Louisiana.

WTM1978: The 134DSES/Vermont ANG based at Burlington IAP participated with three EB-57Es.

WTM1978: Eglin AFB in Florida is located very close to Tyndall AFB. Five F-4Es were present part of the 33TFW. The 33TFW was also present during WTM1982 (F-15A) and WTM1986 (F-15C).

Visitor September 1978: VC-131D 54-2823 arrived from Great Falls IAP. It is part of the 186FIS/Montana ANG.

Visitor October 1978: RF-4C 63-7758 from the 160TRS/Alabama ANG based at Donnelly Field.

WTM1982: The 49TFW from Holloman AFB, New-Mexico, was present with five F-15As from the 8TFS yellow fin-tip (photo) and one from the 7TFS blue fin-tip. The 49TFW was also at Tyndall in 1986.

WTM1980: In take-off for a new mission is F-4D 64-0970/21. The 178FIS "Happy Hooligans" is based at the North-Dakota ANG base Hector Field.

October 1982: HH-3C from the 39ARRW (Richards-Gebaur AFB), detachment 5 at Tyndall AFB.

WTM1978: Crossing the main runway of Tyndall AFB is HH-3E from the 39ARRW (Richards-Gebaur AFB), detachment 5 at Tyndall AFB, with BQM-34 drone (based at Tyndall AFB and part of the 475TS).

Visitor: Canadian Air Force CF-101B 101031 from the 416sq/CFB Chatham.

Visitor October 1982: F-105D 62-4346/HI yellow from the Air Force Reserve (AFRES). Based at Hill AFB in Utah and part of the 466TFS/508TFG.

WTM1980: Ready for a new mission is F-106B 57-2521/01 from the Massachusetts ANG/101FIS based at Otis AFB. This unit also joined WTM1978. 

Visitor October 1980: T-33A 52-9692 101FIS/102FIW - Massachusetts ANG/Otis AFB.

WTM1980: One of the teams on the arrival day was the 111FITS coming in from the Texas ANG base Ellington with five F-101As. This unit was also present during WTM1978.

Visitor October 1982: A-7D 69-6216/OH from the 112TFS/180TFW - Ohio ANG operating from Toledo ANGB.

WTM1986: Used for target-towing/judging duties one F-106A (photo) and one F-106B participated, both from the 119FIS/New Jersey ANG with its homebase Atlantic City Airport.

WTM1982: F-4C 63-7475/07 returns from a mission. It belongs to the 171FIS/Michigan ANG and is based at Selfridge ANGB. The 171FIS was also present during WTM1980.

WTM1986: Five Canadian Air Force CF-18As were active from 425sq with their homebase CFB Bagotville, Quebec.

WTM1982: The Canadian Air Force participated with six CF-101Bs. The photo shows one from the 409sq, based at CFB Comox, British Columbia. A composite team with CF-101Bs was present in 1980.

WTM1982: Present from McCord AFB in Washington were five F-106As part of the 318FIS.  

Visitor October 1982: T-33A 58-0536 318FIS - McCord AFB.

October 1986: The commander’s aircraft of the "325FW and ADWC " is   F-15A 74-0119/TY. With red (1FS), yellow (2FS) and blue (95FS) fin-tip colours and ADWC marking. 

WTM1980: F-4E 68-0511/MY with multi-colour fin-tip. Moody AFB in Georgia is the homebase of the 347TFW.  

WTM1982: F-106A 57-2464/08 ready for a new mission. It is one of the 5 F-106As that participated. Based at Great Falls IAP in Montana and belonging to the 186FIS/Montana ANG. Also active at WTM1978.

WTM1978: On the flight-line of Tyndall AFB one of the five F-4Es from the 3TFW all with PN tail-code and red/white/blue fin-tip colours. The 3TFW is stationed at Clark Air Base in the Philippines.  

WTM1982/1986: Five F-15Cs with multi-colour fin-tips participated during both WTMs, all from the 36TFW based at Bitburg AB, Germany. The photo shows F-15C 79-0070/BT in 1982.

October 1982: T-33A 53-4900 made a long flight, it came from his homebase Elmendorf AFB in Alaska and is part of the 3TFW.

WTM1978/1980: During both WTMs the 48FIS was acitive with their        F-106As. Its homebase is Langley AFB in Virginia.

WTM1982/1986: The 48FIS from Langley AFB in Virginia brought five    F-15As to Tyndall AFB.

Visitor October 1982: T-33A 58-0673 from the 48FIS/Langley AFB.

WTM1982: F-106A 59-0082 is the commander’s aircraft of the 49FIS based at Griffiss AFB, New York. The 49th sent five F-106As. The 49FIS was also present during WTM1978 and WTM1980.

WTM1982: F-15D 81-0062/LA with green fin-tip was used for target-towing and judging duties. It is stationed at Luke AFB in Arizona and part of the 555TFTS/405TTFW.  

Visitor October 1982: F-4G 69-0274/WW yellow 561TFS/37TFW - George AFB/California.

WTM1982: The 57FIS is based at Keflavik NAS on the island of Iceland.   F-4E 66-0382 is the commander’s aircraft with markings under the cockpit. 

Visitor October 1980: On the visitor flight-line F-106A 59-0093. The 5FIS is based at Minot AFB, North Dakota. 

WTM1982: Eglin AFB in Florida is located very close to Tyndall AFB. Five F-15As with red fin-tip were present and are part of the 60TFS/33TFW. The 33TFW was also present during WTM1986.

WTM1986: Participating for target-towing/judging duties was F-4E     68-0424/MY belonging to the 68TFS/347TFW and based at Moody AFB, Georgia.

Open house 24 September 1978: F-104G 63-13252 69TFTS/58TTW - Luke AFB, Arizona.

WTM1982: Four units were used for target-towing and judging duties, including F-4Es from 347TFW (69TFS and 70TFS). Photo shows             68-0443/MY with silver fin-tip (69TFS) from Moody AFB, Georgia.

WTM1982: F-15C 80-0051/FF with red fin-tip was also used for target-towing and judging duties. It came from Langley AFB in Virginia and belongs to the 71TFS/1TFW. The 1TFW was also present in 1986.   

October 1982: the 475 Flight Test Center is stationed at Tyndall AFB.  F-100D 56-3861 is used as a F-100 drone trainer.

October 1982: Operating from his homebase Tyndall AFB is PQM-102B 57-0822/817 from the 475 Test Flight Squadron.

WTM1986: Six F-106As from the 159FIS/Florida ANG based at Jacksonville IAP were used for tagert-towing/judging duties. With the tail-colours yellow, orange and white.  

WTM1978: The 86TFW with their F-4Es are stationed at Ramstein AB in Germany.

October 1986: F-15B 76-0134/TY red operates from its homebase Tyndall AFB and is part of the 1FS/325FW.
